Terrasse à l'Ombre is a red wine from the Southern Rhône Valley, produced by Château de Gourdon. This cuvée is a blend of Grenache and Syrah grapes, sourced from old vines averaging over 40 years old. The wine undergoes traditional vinification, with Syrah aged in French oak barrels for one year. It offers a deep color with purple hues, aromas of black fruits, peppery notes, and scents of Provence herbs. The palate is ample and round, structured by rich and supple tannins, leading to a floral and elegant finish with hints of violets. This wine has good aging potential and pairs well with stuffed poultry, mature cheeses, grilled meats, and fresh mushrooms. It is recommended to be served at 17°C after an hour of aeration.
