You may add wines and beers to your collection, including details such as name, region, grape varieties, style, comments, ratings, and photos. This content is stored on our servers and associated with your account.

Analytics Tracking

We collect basic analytics data including page views, clicks, your IP address, and user agent string. This data helps us understand how the site is used and improve the experience. Analytics data is automatically purged after 90 days.

Cookies & Sessions

We use a session cookie (grains-and-grapes-session) to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We also use localStorage to remember your theme preference (light, dark, or system). We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• OpenAI — When you use the "Scan Label" feature, your label photo is sent to OpenAI for analysis. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this processing.
• Email provider — We use a third-party email service to send transactional emails such as email verification and password reset links.

Community Features

When you share a wine or beer with the community, your username and rating comment become publicly visible. You can control which items are shared via the "Share with community" option on each wine or beer.

Data Retention & Deletion

Analytics tracking data is automatically deleted after 90 days. Your account data and content are retained until you request deletion. To delete your account and all associated data, please contact us by email.
